Empowering myself through knowledge is one of my favorite things to do. It can be easy to cross the line from exploring and learning new things into being overwhelmed by information overload. I try to keep myself focused on learning about my passions and my choices reflect that.
I love to read and I am usually in the middle of many books at a time. Now is no exception. Here’s what I’ve got bookmarks in right now:
Breasts: A Natural and Unnatural History by Florence Williams
Simplicity Parenting: Using the Extraordinary Power of Less to Raise Calmer, Happier, and More Secure Kids by Kim John Payne
The Tree of Yoga by B.K.S. Iyengar
Origins: How the Nine Months Before Birth Shape the Rest of Our Lives by Annie Murphy Paul
The Way of the Fertile Soul: Ten Ancient Chinese Secrets to Tap into a Woman’s Creative Potential by Randine Lewis
I’ve usually got some fiction sprinkled in there as well. I’ve recently started reading Paul Auster’s work in chronological order. He is one of my all time favorite authors and I love being transported into his world.
