The first step in the custom mala process is to put down a deposit.
Once the deposit is received, I will ask you some questions to help me understand the energy you are looking for and if there are any particular stones or colors that you are particularly drawn to.
We may use a private Pinterest board where we can share some ideas (sometimes this is helpful and sometimes it’s not really needed because the intuitive process gets us where we need to be).
I’ll create a design and send it to you for review, complete with an explanation of why I chose the stones that I did. You’ll let me know how it feels to you (if there are certain stones you don’t resonate with, or ones that you’d like to see incorporated more, etc).
Please be aware that beads vary in color and may not be exactly as seen on other malas or pictures we may find as we gather inspiration.
Once we have solidified the design and I am ready to string and knot the mala, I will send you an invoice for the remaining amount.
This can vary based on the stones (because some cost more than others). The average cost of a custom mala is $135.
The price is inclusive of the original design and up to 2 revisions of the design. Any more revisions than that may incur an additional cost.
The average turnaround time for a custom mala is 2 weeks. This will also depend on how quickly we move through the initial question process, the design process, and the availability of beads.
